Ten years after an conviction your record should automaticly be seal
for a one to be able to take care of his family after making a mistake in life, one's record should be seal from public access after ten years. To make the dream of America come true for every one, with out thing from the pass hold one back. I feel that only Law enforcement, and school should be in access of these records.. week two: and If one has been has been incarcerated over ten years, five years after one has been released one's record should be seal also, because studies have shown that after one's release from prison with-in two to three years period, a repeat offender will make his way back..Week three: And also one shouldn't have to be disadvantaged in one's life from prospering, because we all make mistakes and by the way,we are all human...Week four: and for one growing up through the history of America, and through its conflicts of Interest. One never look back and see what America's legacy has been and what has steamed all of it's actions of today; therefore, I think that no matter what the crime was one should have a chance to move on in there lives and prosper after a ten year evaluation of Ethics, mind-me Law enforcement and schools should always have access to those records to review. This is god green earth and no man should judge another by keeping one for prospering for his family, because it is written the least is in favor in gods eyes and the wealthy that don't claim Jesus as the savor will be hell bound forever. So judge not the mistakes of man made in this world, try to do your part an help all of gods people! Week five: and also I feel as if putting one out for public veiwing is another way of holding one back, witch can be bought up as discrimination to keep one form prospering. Week six:one say after you have done there time, one have paid there debt to society, then on the other hand, when one get out of prison and after ten years of ethical change, one still don't have equal right as there fellow citizen; therefore, I say, let all America's people be free after ten years of ethical provision and building, and archive those records for only the viewing of law enforcement and schools. Week seven: for one growing up through the 60's and 70's during the conflicts of the time and to still be held back is wrong. Week Eight: today is time for change we need for every one to have a fair chance. To get loans, get good positions on jobs and also be all they can be, because when you let one back out on the streets after being locked up, mean that, that person did the time that was given and back out among the people to get it right the next time around. But one has to have a chance to do so; Therefor I say, take these record out of the viewing of the public access after ten years so that ones will be able to feed there family and not always be scrutinize for things in the past that consonantly held one back like slavery..Week nine: The is the best country in the world, but we still have no love for one another. but this is gonna have to change if this country is to continue to thriving on, because as long as we continue to fight because one think one better then the other, because of skin color this country is gonna tare it self down and that what other nations are waiting for. And to think that we go to other country and try and tell them how to help there country, pointing the finger. Just look at the next time you point your finger and check how many fingers are pointing back at you. Free America's people and let opportunity shine for everyone..Week ten: I will just sum this up by saying we as a people fight for what we stand for when we no its right. So I'm taking a stand for equality meaning a tune of ones skin or the bad decision of one young adult years should not define that persons caritor and if we are gonna continue as a union of one, we are gonna have to stop the pain of seeing some prosper and some hurt and see to it that every one gets to feed their family's. And stop all these big organizations, that thinks as long as we keep one down, we can profit from the crime they do by putting one in jail. This needs to stop to, because when it effects there home it isn't funny any more and then one wishing he/she wouldn't have voted for those laws thinking that it wouldn't effect them and now doing every thing in there power to help there love ones out of a bad decision. So; therefore I say, that we all go by the same guide lines and laws of the land and no one is better then another. So let the people free after ten years of suffering by expounding there criminal record and taking it out of pubic viewing and give a far Chance to all and lets become a better America!!

Yes, the offence may have been a mistake but...what if the crime was child abuse or something of the sort. Would it not be better to have a service system put into place to make sure that the offender has been made changes to their lifestyle?
ReplyDeleteShould sealing the record be based on the crime or should the system be available to all?
If you did the crime you need to do the time even if it extends pass jail time. Unfortunately not all people change after 5 years. As a parent and a concerned citzen public records are essential. Though the person has changed it shows what they "might" have been capable of. Plus, if this service was available it would potentially cause more harm than good.
ReplyDeleteI dont think time and crime are the issue here. I believe the issue if more about attempting to get on with life - though one may have a minor blemish on their record.
ReplyDeleteSimilar to letting those who have served time vote. What does voting have to do with serving time?
